NH Porta Rossa
NH Porta Rossa is situated on a quiet street located in the pedestrian zone of Florence. It is located in the heart of the city just off the Piazza della Signoria Florence. It is very close to the Duomo and it is within walking distance of all the historical places the city has to offer. It also has numerous restaurants and boutiques you can visit.
The building itself is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and stylish. It’s filled with antique furniture and has some amazing ceiling frescoes that had been recently restored, adding to the historical feeling of the NH Porta Rossa hotel. It features refined decorations, where white marble and natural wood tones blend with warm textile colors.
The front desk is very kind and willing to assist. They are very efficient and speak good English. They provide restaurant recommendations for dinner and do a terrific job to suggest places to visit. The entire staff working in this four star hotel is so incredibly accommodating, helpful, and fast.
It is obvious they have quite a variety of room types. The amenities are very modern. They have comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom. The bathroom is completely luxurious with many complementary toiletry items, robes and even a towel warmer. They offer complimentary Wi-Fi that is relatively fast.
Breakfast is plentiful and included in most room rates. The breakfast is delicious and fresh. Great choices of everything: pastries/bread, ham/cheese, fruits, juices and freshly made cappuccino and coffee.
Request a room on a higher floor, as there is some noise from the street. Some rooms that face the inner courtyard will be quieter. Overall, it’s a good hotel with a fantastic location. Would recommend NH Porta Rossa to anyone on holiday in Florence.
If you need to park your vehicle, there’s a parking garage located right behind NH Porta Rossa. It’s located on via delle Terme. It’s a bit expensive, however it’s the perfect spot for parking in the historical center area.
