Via dei Calzaiuoli Florence Italy

Via dei Calzaiuoli

A pedestrian street, filled with so many terrific shops and beautiful palaces.

The Via dei Calzaiuoli goes from the Duomo to Piazza della Signoria and is the shopping Mecca of Florence. You will find interesting historical buildings and many shops that are available.

Via dei Calzaiuoli is one of my most memorable streets. I spent many hours walking on the cobblestone streets and bumping into other tourists as well as Italians hustling to work.

Via dei Calzaiuoli offers a variety of shops along both sides of this historical road. From famous designers shops (like Chanel, Swarovski and Max Mara) to vintage shops. They also have hand-crafted products, beautiul souvenirs and much more. In the vicinity of the Piazza della Repubblica you will see international chain stores.

Most shops are open daily from 9:00 a.m until 7:30 pm. Whatever you feel like having you will be able find on Via dei Calzaiuoli. It has a lot terrific restaurants, bars and hotels. If you are searching for some thing sweet there are some terrific gelato shops and bakeries. If you are looking for some entertainment you will happen to see one of the many street artists that frequent Via dei Calzaiuoli.

Via dei Calzaiuoli is closed to motorized traffic and is the perfect meeting place for all. Both locals and tourists come here to stroll around during the day and in the nighttime to enjoy the atmosphere and catch up with friends.
