Riviera Restaurant Venice

Riviera Restaurant Venice is a wonderful restaurant located by the water. It is in Dorsoduro, overlooking the Giudecca Canal. This charming restaurant serves excellent Italian food with a modern twist.

It is within an easy walk of the Academia and very close to a vaporetto stop.

You can enjoy a wonderful meal outside on the terrace with a beautiful view of the water.  Inside has a cozy atmosphere, terrific ambiance as well. It is decorated with original works from local artists.

The owner is on hand to ensure your experience is a memorable one. He visits all of the tables to ensure you are having the best time possible.

Dishes served are consistently excellent. Attention to detail is evident. With a refined attention to plating, balance of flavors and seasoning. Beautiful fish and seafood is offered on the menu. Delicious and an exquisite representation of the quality of seafood Venice has to offer.

Professional wait staff. Very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Your waiter will be more than happy to recommend a superb and very affordable wine to compliment both starter and main course.

The menu is just amazing. Fish carpaccio is a memorable starter. Burrata; fresh cow’s milk mozzarella topped with fresh grated white truffle. Pasta figioli, very hearty and flavorful with homemade pasta. Their house speciality is salt encrusted sea bass, only flavored with olive oil and a little pepper. This is filleted in front of you, with a delicate touch. Ravioli with ricotta and spinach. Ricotta gnocchi with cubed sea bass, both incredibly light and perfectly created.

Overall, it is truly an excellent meal and experience. I highly recommended Riviera Restaurant Venice. Yes, it’s rather expensive. However, I feel it’s well worth the price.
