Zibibbo Restaurant Florence Italy

Zibibbo Restaurant is a small, yet very elegant restaurant. Inside decor is crisp and welcoming. This charming restaurant is very clean and has subtle lighting. Upon arrival my family was greeted with a friendly welcome and a complimentary glass of prosecco. After just a few minutes we were then seated at the table.

Zibibbo Restaurant definitely has an interesting name. And it is real fun to say. When you translate Zibibbo into English it means raisin.

Marco and the rest of his family treated my family as if we were their special friends. The attention to detail and friendly waiters can immediately put you at ease. English speaking staff is always smiling. Very knowledgeable and always attentive to the needs of the guest.

We began with scallops with bacon. Awesome! Scallops were cooked just right. Bacon was salty, smoky and crisp. The dishes of both land and sea were of excellent quality. Chilean sea bass was tasty and fresh. Roasted rack of lamb with crispy potatoes. Lamb was tender and juicy. Spaghetti alla chitarra with wild herbs and ricotta cheese. Homemade ricotta was creamy. Spaghetti with mussels was remarkable. Fresh mussels, steamed in a fragrant broth of white wine. Their home-made pasta was delicious and cooked perfectly.

The desserts at Zibibbo Restaurant are sublime. All made with care and skill. We truly enjoyed everything. Coffee custard pie topped with bitter chocolate flakes. Cheesecake with bitter orange marmalade with a mint leaf and a fragrant cup of raisins. To this date, I have never tasted a cheesecake so good!

Our bill was certainly in line with the terrific quality of food. All of our food was amazing. Both in taste and presentation. The setting was nice and quiet. Their wine list is very diverse. I would definitely recommend it for a special evening.

Zibibbo Restaurant is not a place that disappoints. It’s a little bit off the center of Florence. You may have to go by taxi but necessarily worth it.
